On the opposite shore to Varenna we find Menaggio easily reachable by ferry in a few minutes.
It is a must to pass through the lakeside and the historic center where it will be possible to visit the church of Santa Marta and stop in one of the cafes overlooking Piazza Garibaldi.
Villa Mylius Vigoni and gardens, a short distance from the center, can be visited for a fee.
