Bellagio

Bellagio is worth a whole day to walk through the village and the lakeside to discover enchanting corners hidden from a quick pass.

First of all the village, the historic center full of shops, the Cathedral of San Giacomo from the Romanesque period restored and then remodeled over time.

The park and library, recently inaugurated, for a stop of total relaxation and tranquility.

The lakeside and its bars overlooking the lake and the villas nestled on the coast of Tremezzina and Menaggino.

Just outside the center, along the lakeside, we find Villa Melzi d’Eril and park, elected Most beautiful park in Italy for the year 2016 and visitable for a fee. Crossing the gardens of Villa Melzi takes you to the exit of Loppia, a characteristic and enchanting fishing village.

From here, with a short walk, it is possible to reach the hamlet of San Giovanni, which was also a fishing village in the past, with its narrow streets and characteristic and prestigious shops.

For those who want, upon reservation, it is possible to enjoy a guided tour inside the former Villa Serbelloni now home to the Rockefeller Foundation; the villa has one of the most beautiful parks on Lake Como with a priceless view of the branch of Lake Lecco.
