Every day many ferry boat and passengers boats sail and dock from Varenna port, but every time that I see one of that look like special and exciting. I’m really lucky because I live here, it look like a corner of heaven.
Situated about 10 minutes by walking from the center of Varenna town, the Fiumelatte river is one of the shortest river of Italy. This rivers has wonderful foaming waters that lead to the lake after 250m running. The best period to see this river is after lot of rain, when swollen river.
During this days you can start fell the Christmas spirit in all Varenna’s roads. The alleys become colored and doors the doors are decorated with fantastic Christmas wreaths.
